Synthesis, Phase Behaviour and Mechanical Properties of Poly(2-methyl-1,3-propanediol-4,4′-bibenzoate)

摘要: The synthesis and phase behaviour of PB32 is reported. results indicate that develops a low-ordered smectic mesophase the type SmC alt . slow formation such allows quenching isotropic melt into an amorphous state so both glass can be obtained, which exhibit different glass-transition temperatures. Mechanical tests macromolecular chains in oriented either parallel or perpendicularly relation to streching direction, depending on deformation conditions. Solid-state 13 C NMR spectroscopy show mobility rather similar phases.
