The use of NEP scale to evaluate the environmental worldview of the employees in the city of Kacanik in Republic of Kosovo

摘要: The tendency for higher economic development with the aim of increasing citizens’ standard living has led many natural resources in Kosovo to be overused and degraded. This environmental degradation is nowadays presented form air, water soil pollution. To cope problems a society, its citizens, especially young generations, need education which plays very important role attitudes beliefs, should friendly protective environment resources. In our survey, we used 15-item NEP scale evaluate worldview three groups employees city Kacanik, order see if they have pro-anthropocentric approach, Dominance Social Paradigm declares that sources are eternal, so can broadly utilized fulfill human demands, or pro-ecological view, New Environmental (NEP) expects integral part ecosystem being cannot without control because insufficient. Our results show all respondents high pro-NEP score, than 45%, means citizens conscious about their country general; thus, concerns ready support policies sustainable development.
