摘要: Electrocardiographic imaging (ECGI) is a developing modality for cardiac electrophysiology and arrhythmias. It reconstructs epicardial potentials, electrograms, isochrones from electrocardiographic body-surface potentials noninvasively. Current ECGI methodology employs Tikhonov regularization, which imposes constraints on the reconstructed or their derivatives. This approach can sometimes reduce spatial resolution by smoothing solution. Accuracy depends priori knowledge of solution characteristics determination an optimal regularization parameter. These properties led us to implement independent, iterative ECGI—the generalized minimal residual (GMRes) method—which does not apply constraints. GMRes was applied experimental data during activation/repolarization normal infarcted hearts. reconstructions were compared measured “gold standards” in isolated Overall, accuracy solutions similar regularization. However, certain cases recovered localized potential features (e.g., multiple minima), lost Simultaneous use these two complementary methods clinical will ensure reliability maximal extraction diagnostic information absence about patient's condition.© 2003 Biomedical Engineering Society.
