摘要: Shanghai is a megacity located in hazard-prone region, but one which local residents have not actively engaged disaster risk management. This paper aims to identify factors of perception that influence residents' propensity adopt risk-mitigating measures. It presents results structured questionnaire survey administered residents. Results show measures are deemed be important if people: (1) frequently experienced extreme weather; (2) believe weather events severe Shanghai; and (3) concerned about other public risks confronting international society, such as energy security terrorism. note the third point has resulted greater impacts than two factors.
