摘要: Abstract A model for a differential–flow reactor is considered, based on cubic autocatalator kinetics in which the substrate immobilized and autocatalyst flows through at constant rate. Linear stability analysis shows that there critical flow rate above spatially uniform steady state becomes convectively unstable. Numerical simulations show this convective instability leads to formation of wave packet propagating reactor. The nature depends two cases are identified kinetic parameter μ , namely generic case general values when close value gives Hopf bifurcation system.
