摘要: The compensation heat pulse method (CHPM) is of limited value for measuring low rates sap flow in woody plants. Recent application the CHPM to roots has further illustrated some constraints this technique. Here we present an improved method, termed ratio (HRM), measure and reverse HRM several important advantages over CHPM, including measurement range resolution, protocols correct physical thermal errors sensor deployment, a simple linear function describe wound effects. We theory methodological HRM, provide correction coefficients, validate reliability accuracy technique against gravimetric measurements transpiration.
