摘要: Seagrass beds provide nursery habitats for marine species. leaves, in particular, are used as spawning grounds and food source fishes invertebrates, but direct evidence of seagrass leaves is rare. It also very challenging to identify eggs through morphological analysis, since the many species appear similar. To accurately on dominant South China Sea, evaluate seasonal contribution source, DNA barcoding stable isotope technique were conducted. Interestingly, Monetaria annulus was found spawn leaf sheath Thalassia hemprichii Li'an gang, Hainan Island. This selection oviposition site might increase embryo survival compared other parts leaves. Meanwhile, Stethojulis trilineata deposited entire Halophila ovalis Liusha Bay, Guangdong Province. The small fingernail-shaped H. be beneficial S. lay they closer sediment surface than Based carbon nitrogen analyses, primary M. summer winter particulate organic matter seagrass, respectively. results suggest that not only important fish invertebrates a site, source. findings present study may support urgent requirement conservation sustaining productivity fisheries.
