摘要: The development and nature of water-repellent, or hydrophobic, soils are important issues in evaluating hillslope response to fire. following annotated bibliography was compiled consolidate existing published research on the topic. Emphasis placed types, causes, effects measurement techniques water repellency, particularly with respect wildfires prescribed burns. Each annotation includes a general summary respective publication, as well highlights interest this focus. Although some references repellency without fires, chemistry hydrophobic substances, remediation water-repellent conditions included, coverage these topics is not intended be comprehensive. To develop database, GeoRef, Agricola, Water Resources Abstracts databases were searched for appropriate references, bibliographies each reference then reviewed additional entries.
