摘要: Abstract In the 80–100 km altitude region free sodium atoms are abundant enough to allow probing of Doppler widened hyperfine structure (hfs) D 2 resonance transition by ground-based lidar and hence deduce atmospheric temperatures. We discuss dependence observed shape hfs on temperature, geographic location polarization lidar, differential extinction, bandwidth transmitter. The results applied new measurements mesopause obtained University Bonn lidar.
