Measurement of BB̄ angular correlations based on secondary vertex reconstruction at √s = 7 TeV

摘要: A measurement of the angular correlations between beauty and anti-beauty hadrons (B B-bar) produced in pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy 7 TeV CERN LHC is presented, probing for first time region small separation. The B are identified by presence displaced secondary vertices from their decays. hadron separation reconstructed decay primary-interaction vertex. differential B-bar production cross section, measured data sample collected CMS corresponding to an integrated luminosity 3.1 inverse picobarns, shows that sizable fraction pairs with opening angles. These studies provide test QCD further insight into dynamics b b-bar production.
