Cardiovascular mortality and morbidity in seven counties in Sweden in relation to water hardness and geological settings. The project: myocardial infarction in mid-Sweden.

摘要: An east-west regional gradient in cardiovascular mortality was found within seven counties mid-Sweden during the years 1969-1983. The differences were of considerable magnitude for ischaemic heart disease (IHD) as well stroke. In previous reports, which distribution risk factors among middle-aged men presented, moderate variation communities could not explain variation. Water hardness has previously been reported to be inversely related several countries. this paper, water samples from all 76 analysed relation rates IHD and stroke women. (Ca+Mg other minor constituents), sulphate bicarbonate concentrations drinking mortality. also non-fatal even when account taken age traditional measured by a postal questionnaire. Variation accounted 41% rate 14% over communities.
