摘要: Abstract Objectives A range of health-care professionals including chiropractors provide treatment for sports-related health problems. This study reports analyses from the first national workforce survey to determine practitioner and practice-related factors associated with frequent athletes or sports people by Australian chiropractors. Design setting 21-item questionnaire collecting information pertaining characteristics was distributed all registered chiropractors, as part Chiropractic Research Network (ACORN) project attracted a response rate 43% (n = 2005). Statistical compared frequency treating against wide relevant practice characteristics. Results Of respondents, 49.5% (n = 936) reported frequently people, these were more likely be male well report patient care hours visits per week than those who did not treat people. Chiropractors also perform multi-modal management, have multi-disciplinary relations, use diagnostic equipment discuss nutrition medication their Conclusions Nearly half participating frequently. The current potential role in medicine appears significant. Further research is needed examine role, practices outcomes such chiropractic helping to, policy development this area clinical management.
