摘要: Abstract Reconstructing past modes of ocean circulation is an essential task in paleoclimatology and paleoceanography. To this end, we combine two sedimentary proxies, Nd isotopes ( e ) the 231Pa/230Th ratio, both which are not directly involved global carbon cycle, but allow reconstruction water mass provenance provide information about strength overturning circulation, respectively. In study, combined down-core profiles from six Atlantic Ocean sediment cores presented. The data set complemented by available sets literature. From derive a comprehensive picture spatial temporal patterns dynamic changes Meridional Overturning Circulation over ∼25 ka. Our results evidence for consistent pattern glacial/stadial advances Southern Sourced Water along with northward mode all deeper (>3000 m) Atlantic. Results shallower core sites support active cell shoaled Northern during LGM subsequent deglaciation. Furthermore, report short-lived period intensified AMOC early Holocene.
