摘要: To provide high-energy, high-power beams at short wavelengths for inertial-confinement-fusion experiments the authors rountinely converted 1.053-micrometers output of Nova, Nd:phosphate-glass, laser system to its third-harmonic wavelength. We describe performance and conversion efficiency modeling 3 X arrays potassium-dihydrogen-phosphate crystal plates used type II/type II phase-matched harmonic Nova 0.74-m diameter beams, an alternate I/type phase-matching configuration that improves efficiency. These energy up 65% intensity 70%.
