摘要: Tuberculosis is a world-wide problem in less developed countries. In this thesis I report the evaluation of impact, process and objectives mass media health education campaign for tuberculosis control Cali, Colombia. The campaign aimed at reducing levels prejudice against people with disease at increasing demand for diagnostic tests. I assessed impact on using two cross sectional surveys as sources of data. demand tests quasi-experimental evaluation design relying epidemiological data. used qualitative quantitative techniques assessing the campaign. text analysis assessing the campaign, identifying values underpinning these objectives. The results show that significantly reduced prejudice, increased the tests. Process shows managers applied satisfactorily programme theory intervention, around half the population was exposed to it exclusively reinforcing a medical approach control, which promoted compliance medical surveillance, instead contributing creation an educated public regarding this disease. Assessment showed campaign are Utilitarian define worth human life terms its economic productivity. This demonstrates current models education, draw only process, are inappropriate all those who have interest stake in order judge take policy decisions. Health education programmes responses social problems based specific idea what is worthwhile be pursued by individuals society. Thus, research in health education should include not only assessment but also assessment their unveil such responses.
