Evaluation of adsorption behavior for U(VI) and Nd(III) ions onto fumarated polystyrene microspheres

摘要: Fumarated polystyrene microspheres were prepared using emulsion polymerization technique. Different instrumental techniques such as elemental analysis, SEM and FTIR employed for full characterization of the synthetic resin. parameters pH, time initial metal ions concentration examined to evaluate optimum conditions U(VI) Nd(III) sorption. For both ions, sorption process fitted well with pseudo-second order kinetic model Langmuir isotherm model. The maximum adsorption capacities found be 83.11 mg U g−1 39.68 mg Nd g−1. loaded sorbent was regenerated 0.5 M HNO3.
