摘要: Abstract Purpose Anxiety and depression have been associated with poor seizure control after epilepsy surgery. This study explored the effect of presurgical anxiety or on two- five-year outcomes. Methods Adult subjects were enrolled between 1996 2001 in a multicenter prospective to evaluate outcomes resective A Poisson regression was used analyze association surgical outcome, while adjusting for gender, age, ethnicity, number years seizures, presence mesial temporal sclerosis. Results The relative risk (RR) two-year seizure-free outcome this cohort is 1.12 (95% confidence interval (CI), 0.84–1.49) 1.06 (CI, 0.73–1.55) free outcome. RR 0.73 0.50–1.07) 0.70 0.43–1.17) When including Engel classes I II, RRs depression, anxiety, both two surgery 0.96 (p = 0.59), (p  Only worse year but not at five postsurgery. Depression factor long term. Conclusion These findings from that utilized standardized protocol psychiatric assessment suggest mood disorders no substantial impact postsurgical up
