摘要: This paper quickly reviews the general evidence concerning orbits of comets, relative “ages”, relationship with Oort cloud, non-gravitational forces, sizes, and rotation nuclei. Following a brief discussion composition nuclei, some regarding homogeneity possible development into earth-crossing asteroids is presented. The latter touches on question whether we have in laboratory any samples comets other than Brownlee particles. then turns to problems place nature origin, particularly direct contributions from interstellar medium for supernova (from meteoritic studies) as relevant comet structure activity. next concerns chemical physical structure, amorphous ices cosmic-ray damage new comets.
