摘要: Proteins are the most satiating macronutrients. Tryptophan (TRP) may contribute to effect, as it serves a precursor for anorexigenic neurotransmitter serotonin. To address role of TRP in properties dietary protein, we compared three different breakfasts, containing either alpha-lactalbumin (high TRP), gelatin (low TRP) or with added (gelatin+TRP, high on appetite. Twenty-four subjects (22-29 kg/m2; aged 19-37 years) received subject-specific breakfast at t = 0 10, 55 and 35 % energy from carbohydrate fat respectively randomised, single-blind design. Hunger, glucagon-like peptide (GLP)-1, ghrelin, amino acid concentrations intake during subsequent lunch were determined. Suppression hunger was stronger 240 min after gelatin+TRP. Total plasma lower without (from 180-240 min). higher than 0-100 min, whereas 100-240 The ratio other large neutral acids (LNAA) was, only 100 gelatin+TRP breakfasts. Plasma responses, TRP:LNAA ratios not correlated hunger. GLP-1 ghrelin similar all diets. Energy Summarised, an suppresses more breakfast. This cannot be explained by (possible) differences found breakfasts plasma, well circulating total acids, ghrelin.
