摘要: Abstract Designing and synthesis of inorganic materials containing magnetic elements with nanoscale periodicity is one the areas major research interests due to their potential memory applications. A series ordered mesoporous lanthanum–manganese oxides has been synthesized hydrothermally using saturated fatty acids as templates in presence ethylenediamine (EDA) mineralizer. Templates are removed from these as-synthesized through repeated ethanol–EDA extraction at 333 K. As-synthesized template-free samples have characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, transmission scanning electron microscopy, N 2 sorption photoelectron spectroscopic studies. The observed BET surface area for template-extracted sample lauric acid 304 m g −1 , which on further heating 673 K resulted a nonstoichiometric porous LaMnO 3+ δ manganite material having improved 406 m . low temperature measurements revealed that becomes ferromagnetic 45 K.
