摘要: A cellular automata model is used to analyze the effects of groundwater levels and sediment supply on aeolian dune development occurring sand flats close inlets. The considers, in a schematized probabilistic way, transport processes, influence, vegetation development, combined waves tides that can both erode accrete flat. Next three idealized cases, flat adjoining barrier island Texel, Netherlands, was chosen as case study. Elevation data from 18 annual LIDAR surveys characterize development. Additionally, field survey carried out map spatial variation capillary fringe depth across Results show for high situations, became limited inducing formation Coppice-like dunes, even though losses were regularly replenished by marine import during flooding. Long rows developed scenarios which occurred deep levels. Furthermore, threshold appears exist at level starts affect inlet vary spatially depending external conditions such topography. On inlets, capable introducing variability growth, consistent with patterns found Texel
