摘要: Rapid microbial detection and identification with a high grade of sensitivity selectivity is great challenging issue in many fields, primarily clinical diagnosis, pharmaceutical, or food processing technology. The tedious time-consuming processes current microbiological approaches call for faster ideally on-line techniques. vibrational spectroscopic techniques IR absorption Raman spectroscopy are noninvasive methods yielding molecular fingerprint information; thus, allowing fast reliable analysis complex biological systems such as bacterial yeast cells. In this short review, we discuss recent advances cells bulk environment single-cell analysis. enables whereas micro-Raman-spectroscopy excitation the near infrared visible range has potential single inherently weak signal can be increased up to several orders magnitude by applying enhancement UV-resonance deep UV region, surface enhanced scattering, tip-enhanced scattering. © 2008 International Society Advancement Cytometry
