摘要: The rural–urban fringe around large cities such as Tokyo contains commuter made up of an old-timer population and increasing number newcomers, the literature points out that there are attitude value differences among these residents. This article therefore examines different types healthy, active seniors how their satisfaction with leisure facilities, services, activities varies. After outlining concept community ikigai (a life worth living) examining creation maturation bedroom communities in Japan, I describe case study area Ushiku City near its opportunities for seniors. Then, compare activities, services retirement-aged residents Ushiku. information was obtained by questionnaire 1997 through informal interviews 1996 1997. Follow-up officials took place 2003, 2006, 2007, 2008. It hypothesized would be between newcomer There were, however, few newcomers old-timers.
