摘要: The present work deals with the development of a prototype hydrophone for deep-sea acoustic detection. base sensitive element is single mode fibre laser, realized within an optically pumped erbium-doped fibre. It was obtained by inducing index modulation core illuminating it ultra-violet coherent light through phase-mask grating; in this way couple Bragg reflectors delimiting optical cavity were realized. emission wavelength depends on length and gratings' characteristics. environmental conditions, terms temperature static dynamic pressure, modify these geometrical factors parameters, shift signal. Fibre laser sensors characterized both acoustically closed tub laboratory, using Mach–Zender interferometer electronic lock-in system allowing transformation into amplitude variations, order to greatly increase sensitivity. high sensitivity makes very suitable wide range applications, including geological surveys, marine mammal surveys overall as energy cosmic neutrino underwater telescopes.
