摘要: Although female sex workers (FSWs) report high levels of condom use with commercial clients, particularly after targeted HIV preventive interventions have been implemented, is often low non-commercial partners. There limited understanding regarding the factors that influence FSWs’ partners, and how programs can be designed to increase these The main objectives this study were therefore describe self-reported along interpersonal characterizing their partnerships, examine associated consistent (CCU) within partnerships. This used data collected from cross-sectional questionnaires administered 988 FSWs in four districts Karnataka state 2006-07. We bivariate multivariable logistic regression analysis relationship between CCU (i.e., ‘always’ compared ‘never’, ‘sometimes’ or ‘frequently’) partners (including respondents’ husband cohabiting partner [if not married] most recent non-paying [who neither a nor partner, whom FSW had previous year]) describing as well social environmental factors. Weighting survey methods account for cluster sampling design. Overall, 511 (51.8%) reported having 247 (23.7%) partner. was (22.6% 40.3% respectively). In analysis, odds 1.8-fold higher whose knew she worker (adjusted ratio [AOR]: 1.84, 95% confidence intervals[CI]: 1.02-3.32) almost 6-fold if unmarried (AOR: 5.73, 95%CI: 2.79-11.76]. decreased by 18% each one-year duration 0.82, 0.68-0.97). revealed important patterns determinants partnerships FSWs.
