摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the neurological complications of varicella-zoster virus. Varicella-zoster virus is a human herpes that causes both varicella and zoster. associated with remarkable diversity conditions. Both central nervous system (CNS) peripheral (PNS) may be affected following zoster, but in many instances, syndromes these two diseases are quite different terms their clinical manifestations pathogenesis. Varicella generalized exanthem childhood spread by respiratory route direct contact. Following an incubation period about 14 days, rash develops, often low-grade fever general malaise. The exact incidence not easy to determine. As case estimates frequency will vary according study, hospital-based population obviously show higher complication rate than domestic one as former represents selected group. Although some well-defined entities, relationship others illness always clear.
