摘要: Hydrogen is an attractive fuel for many applications because of its high energy density as molecular hydrogen, well the clean exhaust produced when burned with oxygen. One significant challenge to widespread adoption mobile in particular, inability efficiently store large amounts readily accessible hydrogen small volumes at ambient temperature and pressure. This chapter describes current research on one particularly interesting candidate storage, nanostructured magnesium. The synthetic methods currently used control size shape magnesium are described, measured kinetics modeling explain observed kinetics, theoretical models that can be guide experimental efforts.
