摘要: Scientists have made great strides toward understanding the mechanisms of speech production and perception. However, complex relationships between acoustic structures resulting psychological percepts yet to be fully adequately explained, especially in produced by younger children. Thus, this study examined structure voiceless fricatives (∕f, θ, s, ʃ∕) adults typically developing children from 3to6years age terms multiple parameters (durations, normalized amplitude, spectral slope, moments). It was found that slope variance (commonly excluded previous studies child speech) were important differentiation classification fricatives, with being only measure separate all four places articulation. further shown sibilant contrast ∕s∕ ∕ʃ∕ less distinguished than adults, characterized a dramatic change several at approximately five years age. Discriminant analysis revealed evidence models based on adult data sensitive these differences five-year-old group.
