After Two Wars: Reflections on the American Strategic Revolution in Central Asia

摘要: Abstract : Since September 11, 2001, the United States has fought two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. In these wars, accomplished or more precisely revealed a strategic revolution. Most notably, U.S.-led coalitions sustained forces Central Asia Caucasus over an extended period by sea air for rst time history. Thus, American leaders commanders that new military capabilities hitherto associated with Revolution Military Affairs (RMA) could be deployed anywhere world, U.S. would optimized global power projection capabilities, theaters like were of considerable importance to Washington. Their actions rejected parallel ongoing Strategic (RSA) reaformed area as potential theater operations (a term taken originally from Soviet thought).
