摘要: Publisher Summary Algae are a morphologically and biochemically diverse group of plants, ranging from forms barely distinguishable streptococcoid bacteria at the lower end scale to giant kelps Californian coast other. Naturally it is only smaller, mostly unicellular, members assemblage that can be thought as micro-organisms, for microbial methods study. The uses algal cultures many varied: (1) in phycology, (2) genetics, (3) physiology biochemistry, (4) ecology. Other applications include their use sources food invertebrates culture, protein other fine chemicals industry, recently components self-supporting closed systems space research. An outline cardinal features nutrition included an essential background successful cultivation. As source carbon, most phototrophic species algae utilize carbon dioxide—that taken up either free gas or bicarbonate.
