摘要: Health related quality of life (HRQOL) measures are now accepted as indicators efficacy in the palliative treatment cancer. Utility may also provide valuable information yet they have been applied less frequently. To assess application a time trade-off (TTO) utility measure and its concordance with Spitzer uniscale index (QLI) 38 women advanced, symptomatic breast cancer were studied over 12 month period. The correlation coefficient for QLI TTO values was 0.54 0.62. Using generalized estimating equations regression scores on significant at baseline. In longitudinal analyses results only QLI. Although all participants completed HRQOL 24 (63%) prepared to trade time. remaining 14 (32%) stated felt too well trade. Those recorded significantly worse mean throughout study compared those who had tumors which showed poorer response therapy. this preliminary generally favorable period fair moderate concordance. Further research larger patient groups is required better define relationships between measures.
