Archiving South African digital research data: How ready are we?

摘要: Digital data archiving and research management have become increasingly important for institutions in South Africa, particularly after the announcement by National Research Foundation, one of principal African academic funders, recommending these actions that they fund. A case study undertaken during latter half 2014, among biological sciences researchers at a university, explored state this institution readiness to engage with sharing their digital through repositories. It was found while some were already engaged repositories, neither nor university had implemented systematic management.
