摘要: Some Renewable Energy Sources (RES), such as wind power, are often regarded intermittent. That means they not available on demand, but rather depend external conditions e.g. the weather. In order to manage these resources, it is advised combine them with energy storage or other sectors, what known “sector coupling”. This approach set mitigate negative impact of unstable renewable sources and generated surpluses. this study, a system combining turbines, district heating network short-term thermal was proposed examined for instance Westfjords, Iceland. Isafjorður, Patreksfjorður, Bolungarvik Flateyri exemplary communities existing networks, chosen investigate implementation system. A short review current state sector in Iceland provided present local conditions. Wind potential described area estimated high comparison average turbine generation European Union few instances turbines placement were analyzed study. For locations close network, long-term correlation between power usage proven. However, locating places better conditions, provides stable output similar amount produced by fewer generators.
