Dysregulation of apoptosis genes in hematopoietic malignancies.

摘要: Ever since the discovery of Bcl-2 and elucidation its role in apoptosis, tremendous interest has arisen prospects for triggering suicide malignant cells by exploiting knowledge emerging from apoptosis research. In this review, we summarize information about multiple genetic lesions which have been identified apoptosis-regulatory genes hematopoietic lymphoid neoplasms. Emerging data structural biochemical details proteins their upstream regulators reveal novel strategies therapeutic intervention, some are under interrogation clinical trials currently.
