摘要: Abstract The dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene to styrene over unpromoted and potassium-promoted iron catalysts has been studied using kinetic measurements infrared spectroscopy. Both the rate production activation energy for its formation are dependent on potassium content. specific is highest at ∼10% loading, while apparent reaction lowest ∼30% activity significantly attenuated loadings in excess 30%. Infrared spectra catalyst surfaces after indicate that suppresses extent carbonaceous deposits, active sites both identical. Furthermore, although pure adsorbed Fe2O3 bound surface via aromatic ring, with vinyl group only slightly perturbed by interaction surface, product binds through group.
