摘要: Chemical rocket propulsion can benefit by using hydrides that are able to store high volumes of hydrogen at ambient conditions be released during combustion. This paper offers a theoretical investigation concerning the use as additives in hybrid fuels and solid propellants. Aluminum hydride is expected generate interesting performance gains but lack commercial availability makes industrial application unfeasible. As consequence, attention focused on other simple complex used fields readily available. A comparative analysis gravimetric volumetric specific impulse, propellant average density, adiabatic flame features, preliminary estimate exhaust products conducted. Eight different hydrides, potentially applicable replacements for aluminum currently propellants systems considered.
