摘要: Introduction Market and subsistence hunting often result in the unsustainable exploitation of game tropical forests, even when these forests are still intact (Oates et al . 2000). Poaching wild animals is currently major threat to long-term conservation Tai National Park, Cote d'Ivoire (Hoppe-Dominik 1995, 1997, P.A.C.P.N.T. 1997). Previous studies effects poaching Park have focused on differences animal density abundance between poached areas non-poached Refisch & Kone 2005) harvest species within around park (Caspary 2001). However, not only affects number but also behavior (Verdade 1996). Knowledge impact wildlife can provide reliable indicators for spatial temporal development poaching. In addition human hunters there three predators monkeys Park: crowned hawk eagles ( Stephanoaetus coronatus ), leopards Panthera pardus chimpanzees Pan troglodytes verus ). Leopards typical ambush whose success considerably reduced if they detected before final strike 1984, Klump Shalter Zuberbuhler 1999b). contrast, humans pursuit search prey using acoustic cues (Gautier-Hion Tutin 1988, Boesch 1989). Once located a group, both chimpanzee reach canopy by co-operative or with shotguns, respectively.
