Shell disease in crabs and lobsters from New York Bight

摘要: Abstract Dumping grounds in New York Bight receive very large quantities of sewage sludge. Lobsters and rock crabs collected or near the dumping sometimes show various pathological conditions shell gills. In this study histopathology ‘shell disease’, causative agents its effects on respiration are discussed connexion with a possible association disposal solid wastes into ocean.
