摘要: Abstract It has been observed that the slip bands formed in irradiated copper crystals during deformation show an initial phase of rapid development, followed by a slower phase. is shown characteristics can be qualitatively explained terms conditions existing at edges band due to (a) partial sweeping defect clusters and (b) elastic stresses work-hardened dislocation structure within band. The model proposed suggests correct parameter use for ′strain rate′ analyses thermal activation such materials rate formation new bands, not true strain material bands.
