摘要: In this paper, we present the Eastern European (EE) region as part of Global South with all its disadvantages, and will argue that “Sovietization” is, in many respects, similar to colonization different world regions. We also show disadvantages still exist after transition, EE has an especially low contribution communication media studies (CMS). With a brief bibliometric analysis CMS, paper demonstrates strong bias holds against authors editorial board members leading periodicals at least 95% research remains unnoticed by international scholars. further phenomenon is obviously harmful field CMS. This not only points out general difficulties scholars might face when trying make their internationally visible, but it snatches chance introduce novel, respected yet Easter (Hungarian) theory, namely, Participation Theory Communication.
