A Scalable and Reliable Key Distribution Protocol for Multicast Group Rekeying

摘要: Scalable group rekeying is one of the important problems that needs to be addressed in order support secure communications for large and dynamic groups. One challenging issues arises scalable problem delivering updated keys members a reliable timely manner. In this paper, we present new key distribution protocol management schemes use logical hierarchies rekeying. Our protocol, called WKA-BKR, based upon two ideas, weighted assignment batched retransmission, both which exploit special properties reduce overhead increase reliability delivery protocol. We have evaluated performance our approach using detailed simulations. results show most network loss scenarios, bandwidth used by lower than previously proposed protocols.
