Diffusion and vibrational bottleneck in optically pumped submillimetre lasers

摘要: By observing the time dependence of onset submm laser power in millisecond scale, just after switching on pump laser, vibrational bottleneck due to diffusion and relaxation has been clearly exhibited CH3F, D2CO HCOOH lasers. Experimental results are compared with those deduced from a simplified rate equation model. Both show limited regime collisional regime.
