摘要: Study Objectives: Idiopathic REM sleep behavior disorder (iRBD) is characterized by atypical motor activity, vivid dreams and nightmares, dream-enacting behaviors that can result in injuries to the patient bed partner. It also a known predictor of Parkinson disease (PD). Alexithymia has been associated with disturbances dreaming (e.g., nightmares) non-motor symptom PD. We assessed alexithymia disturbed iRBD patients aim determining if these two factors are elevated interrelated among this population. Design: Questionnaire study clinically diagnosed patients. Setting: Clinical disorders center. Patients or participants: Thirty-two 30 healthy age- sex-matched control participants. Measurements Results: Participants completed 20-item Toronto Scale (TAS-20), Dream Questionnaire, Beck Depression Inventory. obtained higher TAS-20 total scores (62.16 ± 13.90) than did controls (52.84 7.62; F1,59 = 10.44, P < 0.01), even when controlling for depressive symptoms, more frequently attained suggested cutoff (P 0.01). on Difficulty Identifying Feelings subscale. For both groups, Indentifying subscale correlated positively Nightmare Distress scale Questionnaire. Conclusions: Elevated idiopathic rapid eye movement patients, especially difficulty identifying feelings, parallels evidence dysautonomia The incidence distressing nightmares association further extend similar findings clinical non-clinical samples suggest an affect regulation disturbance may be common sets symptoms.
