摘要: Sweat glands have been defined as all those cutaneous other than sebaceous that produce a secretion onto the surface of skin. This loose definition encompasses wide variety structures with broad range functions. Some, such dermal hippopotamus or nasal disc pig, never identified sweat glands, whereas are so specialized it is difficult to decide how they might be classified. On purely anatomical and embryological basis Bligh (1967) coined terms epitrichial refer associated hair follicles, atrichial for open epidermal independent follicle units. Schiefferdecker (1917, 1922) classified follicles apocrine duct which spirals through epidermis eccrine. more conventional terminology although based on suggested mode probably erroneous (Jenkinson, 1967). There does, however, appear physiologic distinction between two types since eccrine innervated largely by cholinergic nerves adrenergic nerves. Thus possible examine sudomotor transmission alone without having classify them structure function gland. In fact, there considerable functional overlap. For example, in man many primates, concerned thermoregulation, cattle horses serve this function. Likewise, foot pad cat dog aid frictional resistance eccrine, feet koala bear apocrine.
