摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter considers the cytokines separately in terms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), although there is often a clear overlap role many context these two airway diseases. Cytokines play an integral coordination persistence allergic inflammatory process asthma. The Th2-associated are one most important classes identified mucosa patients with COPD may be classified as proinflammatory including chemokines involved recruitment neutrophils, macrophages, T-cells, B-cells, wall remodeling, goblet cell, ASM hyperplasia, cyokines emphysema, systemic cytokines, that extrapulmonary source responses. In basic abnormality thought to response cells, particularly epithelial cells macrophages toxic gases particulates cigarette smoke, which generate immune release chemokines, growth factors, cathepsins, serine matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) proteases. Because has been little direct comparison tissues between patients, it not possible state categorically degree cytokine profiles or networks exist However, analysis expression from published literature reveals similarities increased reflect established but necessarily during initial phase
