摘要: Abstract Background and Purpose Early detection of intraplaque hemorrhage (IPH) in the carotid artery is important as it correlated with an increased risk cerebral ischemic events. We examined changes IPH magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) over extended follow-up period patients mild stenosis. Materials Methods From November 2013 to 2015, we retrospectively reviewed MRI 2036 patients, including magnetization-prepared rapid acquisition gradient-echo (MPRAGE) sequences obtained a 3.0 T (T) unit. An experienced neuroradiologist all studies found 38 stenosis that were categorized ( Results The median time was 33.3 months. volume 10 27 arteries (37.0%), mean increase 42.6 ± 44.0 mm3. decreased 17 (63%), decrease 17.2 ± 22.8 mm3. Two without at baseline showed development on imaging. There no significant differences patient demographics between two groups. Conclusions Carotid subjects can change may not be any typical demographics.
