Type of health care workers and quality of antenatal and delivery care in communities of Myanmar: An experience- and vignette-based study.

摘要: Background Understanding who provides antenatal and delivery care services the quality of in communities with high maternal deaths is essential for planning efficient utilization a limited health workforce. Objectives To identify types workers these communities, assess using vignettes women hypertensive disorder pregnancy (HDP) postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) from provider's perspectives Myanmar. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted three townships Myanmar during May to September 2016. Health assistants, lady visitors, midwives, auxiliary midwives rated type providers based on four HDP PPH vignettes. The agreements their assessments were analysed prevalence-adjusted bias-adjusted kappa Cramer's V coefficient. Results Almost perfect agreement found that provided should provide all routine services. Less than 80% participants perceived good (ANC) PPH, particularly featuring cases pre-existing hypertension or history hospitalization. More 85% managing complications as good. Variations ratings among ranged small medium (Cramer's = .22-.40). Conclusion Midwives key ANC local Myanmar, but poor needs improvement.
