摘要: Objective The aim of this study was to evaluate the accuracy cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) for evaluation bone–implant interface in comparison with periapical radiography. Study Design Titanium implants were inserted 74 bovine rib blocks intimate contact bone walls and a gap 0.125 mm (simulating failure osseointegration process). Periapical radiographs taken conventional film, CBCT scans acquired i-CAT (0.2 mm voxel) Kodak 0.076 mm units. Three examiners evaluated images using 5-point scale. Diagnostic analyzed through sensitivity, specificity, area under receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve (AUC) 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Intra- interexaminer agreements Kendall's concordance test. Results showed satisfactory results. greatest observed radiography (AUC = 0.963; CI 95% = 0.891-0.993). I-CAT 0.125-mm good (AUC = 0.885; 95% = 0.790-0.947), no significant difference compared had high specificity low presenting more false-negative Conclusions Conventional highest assessment interface. However, (i-CAT; voxel), if available or performed preoperative another implant site, may provide similar accuracy.
