A Graph Summarization: A Survey.

摘要: While advances in computing resources have made processing enormous amounts of data possible, human ability to identify patterns such has not scaled accordingly. Efficient computational methods for condensing and simplifying are thus becoming vital extracting actionable insights. In particular, while summarization techniques been studied extensively, only recently summarizing interconnected data, or graphs, become popular. This survey is a structured, comprehensive overview the state-of-the-art graph data. We first broach motivation behind, challenges of, summarization. then categorize approaches by type graphs taken as input further organize each category core methodology. Finally, we discuss applications on real-world conclude describing some open problems field.
