摘要: The paper analyzes previously published results of studies detailed records geomagnetic reversals in sedimentary and volcanic sequences the Paleozoic Siberian Eastern European platforms. It is shown that processes reversals, both Early at end this era, are well described by a model which transitional field controlled an equatorial dipole. During reversal, dipole maintained magnetic Earth’s surface whose intensity amounted to about 20% before after reversal. existed during reversal was responsible for deviation from antipodality paleomagnetic poles adjacent polarity chrons (the so-called bias). position axis correlates with supposed geometry convective motions mantle time.
